TexShare Cards

What is the TexShare Card Program
The TexShare Card Program allows registered users of participating TexShare libraries to get a library card at any of the TexShare libraries, giving you access to library materials not available at your local library.

How to get a TexShare Card

1. Register for a TexShare card at your local library.
2. Consult the TexShare web site at www.texshare.edu to see the list of libraries which participate and the specific lending policies of the library you wish to visit.
3. Present your TexShare card at the reciprocating library’s circulation desk to activate your checkout privileges. You may be required to show a photo I.D. Please note that the card has an expiration date.
4. Check out the books at the circulation desk. Please note the lending library’s fines and fees policy.
5. When you’re finished with the materials, you may return them to any participating TExpress library. Click this link for a list of participating libraries: www.texshare.edu/programs/courier/librariesname.html

Flower Mound Public Library TexShare Policy
The library participates in the Texas State Library TexShare card program. TexShare cards are issued to any Flower Mound Library cardholder who has had a Flower Mound card for 3 months or longer, is in good standing at the Flower Mound Public Library, and is 17 years of age or older.

TexShare cardholders from other libraries will be issued a Flower Mound Public Library card if they present a valid TexShare card issued from their home library and show a photo I.D. with their correct mailing address or another item with their correct mailing address.

Flower Mound TexShare cards will be issued to anyone 17 years of age or older. The card will expire on the date that the TexShare card from the home library expires.

TexShare card borrowers are limited to 5 items checked out on their card at one time.

All other policies for TexShare card borrowers are the same as for Flower Mound residents.
