Residents Praise Quality of Life, Transportation Improvements, and Town Services in Recent Survey
A recently released survey indicates Flower Mound residents rank Town service levels with overwhelmingly positive performance ratings, experience a high quality of life, and view the community as an excellent or good place to live and raise children. The November 2011 survey also revealed an increase in resident satisfaction regarding the Town’s transportation and traffic flow improvements, employment opportunities, and the new solid waste and recycling program.
Land the Perfect Position with the Library’s Job Search Series
The Flower Mound Public Library will host a job search program series from 1 to 4:30 p.m. January 21 and February 4 at the Library, 3030 Broadmoor Lane.
Town Holiday Hours - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
All Town Offices, the Municipal Court, the Shirley Voirin Social Senior Center, the Animal Adoption Center, and the Flower Mound Public Library will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Community invited to participate in Santa Cops program at numerous locations throughout Flower Mound
In an effort to spread holiday cheer to Flower Mound families in need, the Flower Mound Police Department and Flower Mound Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association are teaming up for the annual Santa Cops program. Donations and gifts for the program are being accepted through Dec. 17 and will be distributed prior to Christmas to deserving Flower Mound children who might not otherwise receive a gift from Santa.
West Windsor Extension - 90% Plans Public Meeting
Flower Mound Engineering will host a public meeting to present the 90 percent completion plan for the West Windsor Drive Extension from 6 to 8 p.m. December 14 at the Town of Flower Mound Public Library, 3030 Broadmoor Lane.

Town of Flower Mound Celebrates 50th Anniversary
February 25, 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of the Town of Flower Mound. FM Library Checks out DVDs for Seven Days
Flower Mound Public Library Cardholders will be able to check-out DVDs for a period of up to seven days beginning March 21. The Library is updating the DVD check-out policy from the current 21-day period to ensure increased member access to the collection of more than 7,000 DVDs. Town Unveils 50th Anniversary Logo
The Town Council and staff are proud to unveil a new logo to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the incorporation of the Town of Flower Mound. With a vote of 105 to 1, residents approved the incorporation of the Town of Flower Mound on Feb. 25, 1961. A five-month celebration of the anniversary will launch with a Town Council reception on Thursday, February 17. Additional 50th Anniversary activities will be held the week of February 21 at a different Flower Mound facility including the Flower Mound Community Activity Center, the Flower Mound Public Library, and the Animal Adoption Center. The celebration will culminate on July 4 at the Independence Day Festival. A dedicated 50th Anniversary website will launch this month that will include Flower Mound historical facts, related activities, and detailed event information
